The Future Door
No Place Like Holmes Volume 2
By Jason Lethcoe
This is the second in the No Place Like Holmes series, and although I haven’t read the first book, this story can easily stand alone and be enjoyed out of order.
Twelve year old Griffin Sharpe has an extraordinary eye for detail, a sharp mind, and high level reasoning abilities. His uncle, Rupert Snodgrass, is an unappreciated detective and a creative and skilled inventor. By combining their abilities can they change the course of events and save the life of their next door neighbor, Sherlock Holmes?
Future Door combines elements of a steam punk era adventure, Sherlock Homes style mystery and Back to the Future type time travel. The book is action-packed and entertaining. Griffin and Rupert find themselves in many dangerous, sometimes deadly, situations. This is sure to capture the imagination of the young male audience for whom it is written. Readers will appreciate that although we find Griffin making decisions based on his Christian beliefs and values, the book is not at all preachy.
Griffin Sharpe is a character upper elementary/middle school boys and girls can enjoy getting to know.
I received this book for free from Thomas Nelson
through their BookSneeze program.
Opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This little freebie cutting file could be used on a card for one of those milestone birthdays.
Or perhaps you'd like to scrap some of those mysteries of life
*Who left the milk out?
*Where's your jacket?
*What happened to all the cookies?
*When is your book report due?

Of course we know the answer to all the above is the same, in unison now -

Oh, yes, life is so . . .

Happy March!!
