This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Earth Day & Mama Birds

I've been celebrating Earth Day this week while playing in the dirt.  And LOOK - Sprouts!!
The baby zucchini plants are popping their little leaves through the soil! Planted so far - beans, peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, watermelon, and squash.

I've also been working on my herb garden - basil, dill, thyme, chives, rosemary, stevia - love the fragrance as the sun hits the dew first thing in the morning! Also digging and dividing ground covers to make mowing easier for DH. (Yes, my fingernails aren't at their best right now!)

Here's a fun earth day link - design a reusable bag and receive a free bag from your local grocery store. Get the kids involved - this is fun!
Here's my design.

The little birdies on my front porch (see previous post) were the inspiration for this card. Could be cute for Mother's Day.
Available for purchase at Cutters Market

If that isn't enough birds for you, check out this live webcam zeroed in on an eagle's nest! Two little babies (probably not really very little!) are being cared for by their parents. So cute!

*He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Psalm 91:4

What a great way to start the month! Both our girls were able to be here for Easter. Nice to be able to catch up in person. Along with celebrating Easter at church and having a nice meal we carved out time over the weekend to visit a couple parks, have a picnic and splurge on sweets at the Cheesecake Factory. YUM!!

Spring is bursting out all over here - we snapped this photo at Centennial Park in Nashville. It was a gorgeous day!

Hubby even surprised me with a few blooms to adorn the inside of the house. Aren't they lovely!!
