This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Paris!

If you've been wondering where I've been, take a look!

Recognize this bit of architecture?

Yep, you're right! We visited
Paris . . . Tennessee!
Home of the World's Biggest Fishfry

(we'll have to go back to experience that)

along with a 60' replica of the Eiffel Tower.

Nice little Sunday drive on meandering roads through some beautiful countryside got us there.

We've also enjoyed having visitors from up north and reconfiguring some of our computer equipment. Don't give up on me - I'm hoping to get myself into some sort of routine in regard to file designing once DD heads back to college in September!

In the meantime - hope you enjoy this little file!

Reader Submission!

Big THANKS! to Renae for sending in a photo of her layout using the Snowflake Lattice Frame file. What a refreshing treat for this hot summer day. Love your choice of cool, frosty papers. Thanks again, Renae - be watching your inbox!**

I spent my morning working on this slider card for DD#1.

I had fun choosing complimenting papers and rub-ons.

"A daughter is a treasure"

More rub-ons, inked the edges and stamped some images too!

Here's the flower embellishment file, (a request from another bloggy friend).
I shrank it down some and cut it in two different sizes for my card.
How will you use it??

Joy

**Disclaimer**
This is Not a Cutter Project

Every once in a while I work on something that doesn't involve my digital cutter. :)

My fabric stash has been calling my name! I sorted through some fun prints, ironed on some "Heat N Bond" and came away with this wall hanging - a gift for a friend recovering from surgery.

Hoping you find Joy today!!

Quotes:
*Count your joys instead of your woes; Count your friends instead of your foes - Irish saying
*There is joy in work. There is no happiness except in the realization that we have accomplished something - Henry Ford
*There are those who give with joy, and that joy is their reward - Kahlil Gibran
*Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift - Albert Einstein

The Turkeys Are Back!!

And so are the we!
Aren't they cute all lined up like that!!

We finished up the month of July in a flurry.
We enjoyed a stay in the Smokey Mountains with our extended family.
More details (and pix) to follow - we had a blast!

We made a return trip to Indiana. (Our house there is rented now - hurray! Next best thing to being sold . . . We hope)
Been enjoying some yummy fresh veggies, herbs and flowers from my garden.
We've been eating the veggies instead of photographing them :)

Keeping tabs on the local wildlife in the backyard.

These fellas try to surprise me every time I go outside - many times they succeed!!

And even played a bit with my cutter and vinyl.
Cut a quote for the guest room wall.

I can't believe that school started last Monday in some nearby communities here! Up north the earliest I had heard so far was next Wednesday which is a week earlier than when my girls were in school, just a few short years ago.

Tennesseans are gearing up to celebrate a Sales Tax Holiday this weekend. This is a first for us - bet the stores are gonna be packed!! School supplies, clothing and computers can be purchased tax-free.

And for my oh-so-patient blog friends here's a Tall Turkey file - inspired by "my" little turkey family :)
