3-D butterfly on the front, along with a heart cutout, flower rhinestone and a Mom sticker

Coordinating papers and rub-ons along with a little inking and distressing finish this one off. "Wishing you all the things that bring beauty into your world and joy into your heart."

Stand Up Money Holder Card

Here's another card I made recently.
This one was for my 13 year old nephew.


When folded like this it fit in an invitation size envelope.

I cut his initial from a piece of newspaper and "dirtied" it with my stamp pad. Added his name in several different stamp fonts.

Just playing with some of my stamps - had him puzzled at this point!

I included a money holder pocket on this one. (Thirteen year olds seem to love $$!)

For my nephew's First Birthday
I made this interactive stand-up card


Lots of stars! I used some cutouts and some gold stickers.




Added 3-D stickers to spell his name, and a smiley face punch-out





A BIG #1, "Wishing you a year of fun discoveries"

We gave him a noisy toy - my sister LOVES noisy toys - not! She puts tape over all the speakers of the loudest ones - But it is educational too!!

Staycation **Freebie Offer**

Don't you just love new words?! Been hearing a lot about staycations** (taking a vacation from work but staying at home or close to it instead of traveling). Another variation is a daycation (a single day getaway). Here's a new one I just heard about, a psy-cation, a psychological vacation. (While this may be important for your mental health, I'm not really liking the word!)

At any rate it is nice just to do something to break up the ordinary-ness of the daily routine.

We've been seeing deer run through ours the last several days.

July is a busy time for us. We have a rash of family birthdays this month and I've been making cards (always at the last minute, of course!!)

In the next few posts I'll share some pix.

Here's the one I made for my 3 year old nephew.


I used a scrap of corrugated cardboard for the "field" and hand-cut the wagon.

Inside I wrote - "Wishing you loads of fun on your third birthday!"

Blog-cation?

Guess I took an unplanned blogcation this week.

Evidently my mind just needed a creativity break??

Whatever - I didn't do any file designing or paper cutting.

I can say I worked on reorganizing my creative spaces along with some sewing and baking.

And look what I saw outside my window . . .

The turkeys returned and brought the kids! They are kind of hard to see in the photo but I think there were 5-6 funny looking baby birdies strutting around in the weeds.

Hope I don't offend any turkey lovers out there, but I think these guys are kinda ugly!!
