Backyard Friends

As I was preparing supper the other evening, I glanced outside the kitchen window and this is what I saw . . .

I raced for my camera and was surprised when they stood still long enough for me to take several photos!

This is our neighbor's kitty (he's a frequent visitor - likes my little patch of catnip!) And I have seen the momma and fawn several times this fall, but usually on the other side of the creek.

After several minutes of checking each other out, the deer sauntered across the creek, then the kitty walked to the creek bank and watched them till they disappeared from sight. Seems like quite the little friendship is blossoming in my backyard!

For today's share I designed some "Drippy" folding photo corners. Not only can you use these for spooky Halloween layouts, cut them from white and you'll have icicles! They could also pass for stalactites (and stalagmites if placed at the bottom of your photos!) for caving layouts.

Coming soon to Cutters Market.

90 & 100

This fall we are celebrating a couple big milestones in our family.
This weekend my grandmother is celebrating her 90th birthday with an open house for family and friends. And in mid-November we will be gathering to celebrate the 100th birthday of DH's grandmother. Both of these lovely ladies are family treasures that are too often taken for granted but much deserving of a grand celebration! We're all looking forward to these days honoring lives well-lived. I'm sure we'll be hearing some stories not often shared, along with those that we've been told a million times!

This file is in honor of all of our Grand Grandmothers!

Available at Cutters Market

For myself, I will need to grab my scrapping gear from all the places I've stashed it during my get-ready-to-sell-the-house cleanup, and get a few album pages finished for a scrapbook we are putting together for that 100th birthday party - wish me luck with that little game of hide and seek!

And about that album . . . My idea is to use a lot of "family" quotes along with photos of our little branch of Grandma's family tree.

Here's your chance to participate
- What are some of your favorite quotes regarding family/grandparents? Love to hear them! You can either
e-mail me or leave a comment. I'll post all that I receive so that we can all have a stash of great family quotes to use for various special occasions!

Here's one of my favorites to get you started

Can't wait to hear from you!

Trick or Treat!

Guess you’ll have to decide if this is a trick or a treat, but I’m finally back to blogging after all these weeks! We’ve been busy/busy these last few weeks and I have missed my cutter “play time” and my friends here so much!

Available at Cutters Market.

Our house is now “on the market” and we are feeling good about how it will show. Too bad the economy/news reports aren’t making anyone feel like purchasing a house! I know we wouldn’t be considering it if not forced to by a job relocation! Time will tell, I guess.
Right now we are still naively optimistic!

Beautiful fall day here in Northern Indiana, sunny and temps in the 70’s – I’ve got to finish this up so I can go out and enjoy it!

Hope you have a beautiful day whatever you are doing!
