A New Tradition

One of our traditions has been to give each of the girls a Christmas tree ornament each year. The idea being when they have their own household they will have ornaments for that first Christmas tree, along with memories of our family times together.

This weekend we presented our newly married daughter with her box of ornaments and started a new tradition.

We purchased a snowglobe for her and hubby. Since they are now living in North Carolina and probably won't be seeing much real snow we thought this would remind them of their homes in Indiana and Ohio!

Turns out our new son-in-love thought this was a great gift because he was never allowed to have a snowglobe when he was home (3 rowdy boys and a mom who didn't want to clean up a mess!)

I designed this file to add a date to the snowglobe and also added the date to the ornament we bought for DD#2. While I realize the year is almost over, I thought there might be a few others out there that would like to stick a date on something. LOL
