This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Passing along some sunshine

I've been a busy beaver lately, been sorting through, throwing away and organizing EVERYTHING. I feel pretty good about the main floor of the house right now. But the most daunting task still lies ahead - my craft/sewing room!! Yikes!

I designed this file this morning just trying to put off the inevitable task for a bit longer . . . Wish me luck!

Just in case the weather where you are is a bit dreary today, I thought I'd offer you this bit of sunshine.

Available at Cutters Market.

Going, Going . . .

A new file!

Available at Cutters Market

This is my tribute to the summer of 2008 and how fast it has passed me by. Use the title to say good-by to summer, for sunset photos, a 4-H or antique auction, or for a page about your "little one" leaving for kindergarten . . . or college, or for whatever your imagination brings to mind!

Silly me thought it would be smooth sailing after the wedding. Little did I know what the rest of summer held for us!! DD#1 & hubby are building their little nest in NC. DD#2 is getting ready to head back for her junior year of college. Soon our home will be a little too quiet again. But . . . well be busy doing little fix-up/clean-up jobs, just in case we need to try to sell our home and move further south.

Thanks to y'all (practicing in case we move south {grin}) for continuing to stop in for a visit!

I found this quote, which makes me a bit sad about the prospect of moving, but is sweet, non-the-less.

*Memories hide in every corner of my home and I take great delight every time I stumble across one.*

Think I'll re-hide all those memories I stumble across in the corners of my heart so they'll be with me no matter where I am!!

A little movie trivia

Just a little FYI . . .

The documentary film "American Teen" recently released in theaters features students who graduated with my daughter, right here in smalltown, Indiana. According to her it was a real hassle to put up with the film crew throughout the year, but it was interesting non-the-less. Everyone in her graduating class was invited to "apply" to be one of the students followed through their senior year of high school. Those interested were then interviewed, several were chosen and the filming began. DD and her friends decided the invasion of privacy wasn't worth the possibility of a little "fame" (plus they couldn't imagine their lives being movie-worthy!)

The film premiered here this week, to MUCH fanfare. If you want to see what a big deal this is to a small town read the news clip from the local paper here.

Our family wasn't part of the sold-out crowd, but we do want to see the movie once it is showing at the local theater. We'll be trying to see if we can catch a glimpse of our own DD in the background. LOL

Wow, how can it be August???

How can it be I haven't blogged since July18???

We've covered a lot of ground since my last entry.
*Moved DD to her new home in North Carolina
*Visited Nashville, our possible new homebase
*Started various fix-up, paint-up projects at home in prep for a possible sale
*Trying to savor time with family & friends
*Finished up the Summer Reading Program at the library

With all that going on the little CR is feeling very neglected, I think the only thing I cut was a title for a bulletin board at work. I'm really missing the creative outlet, so I hope to get a few free moments soon to work on some new files.

In the meantime, thanks for checking in and hope you are enjoying your summer!!
