This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Bold & Graphic

I’ve been playing around with designing some bold and graphic embellishments lately. Little attention grabbers to guide your eye to the focal point of a layout. I’m been trying dots and dashes, arrows, etc. with pieces to mix and match for one-of-a-kind looks. Take a look at these borders and see what you think.
Available at Cutters Market.

They could be cut in softer colors for a more feminine look also. My plan is to put together a few matching sets and offer those for sale at Cutters Market.

Speaking of attention grabbing – the weather had our attention this week in my little part of the world.
On top of frozen, saturated ground and warm snow-melting temperatures we had several inches of rain come down fast and furious!
Compare my mild-mannered little backyard creek in this photo to the what yard? "river" in this one. The water never quite made it to our house, only to the edge of the patio.
We’re blessed in that we are “upstream” and our water recedes quickly. Those living around the many lakes in the area are still dealing with rising waters and flooded basements and roads.

  1. Thanks for the file! It always amazes me how quickly the creeks and rivers overflow their banks when it rains so much. Glad your place is safe...

  2. Thanks Deb, It really is something you have to see to believe. The first time we experienced it we were really awed. It surely is a helpless feeling to see the water rising and not knowing when it will stop!

  3. Gosh, remember the year of the Fort Wayne flood? (Of course you do, you were married during it!) I have a picture of our river lapping at the steps my dad built at the base of our hill and we had a l-o-o-n-g riverbank -- scary stuff! Still enjoying your ravine lot?? hee hee

  4. I imagine that area was pretty drenched again, Lorna. I do remember, but not as vividly as you since we weren't directly affected THAT time! We just had trouble getting to the Ft Wayne airport to leave on our honeymoon!
We are "high" and dry again now. At least it goes down fast here!
